About FRESH

FRESH is a non-profit corporation, founded in 1990 by Dick and Cheryl McKinley, to serve the spiritual needs of cultural creatives and persons recovering from addictions and damaging dependencies.

Carrying a message of 12 Step spiritual renewal out of the Minnesota model, the founders felt there should be many small centers for spiritual re-creation throughout the country. To that end, Cheryl and Dick moved to Missouri, and established the Center on the current 85 acre property, located near Augusta.

Since the corporation is not allied with any one hospital or church system, FRESH is a welcome resource, serving all spiritual seekers.

From the beginning, persons with no 12 Step orientation have sought and been welcomed to renewal at the Center and at programs which the organization sponsors in other locations.

The Board of Directors is intimately involved in guiding the mission of FRESH, as times change and needs of the community follow. It continues to kindle the vital beacon for individual and group retreat which has been maintained for 13 years.
